Rome for Kids

In Rome, there are a number of fun places to visit with your family. There are many ways to entertain your children in Rome from theatre performances to hands-on museums and parks!

The Casina di Raffaello is a video game arcade in Villa Borghese  that organizes entertaining shows and events  for children.  Green Theatre hosts a number of puppet shows like those at the Stabile Puppet Theatre "San Carlino". For animal and nature lovers, we suggest an afternoon trip to the Bioparco, dedicated to conservation of endangered species, where you’ll find a number of exotic animals. On Saturdays and Sundays, there are special performances at the Planetarium. For those who are a bit older, we suggest the special effects shows at Technotown, where you’ll find entertaining games and simulation rides. You could also bring your kids to visit the  Time Elevator : a unique way to learn about the history of Rome while watching a 3D film with lots of special effects! The Explora Museum is the first museum designed specifically for children ages 0-12 and is divided into various categories: society, environment and communication. Another fun place to visit with your children is Luneur, and amusement park in the EUR district.
