Lucas Cranach: The other Renaissance

From Friday, October 15, 2010 Sunday, February 13, 2011 Rome hosts the interesting exhibition of German painter of the 1500s.

For the first time in Italy, Rome will host an exhibition of Lucas Cranach the Elder, the Renaissance painter known as an innovator of the time. Cranach introduced a new imagery in German painting of the nude, erotic, and the humanities subjects and an innovative portraiture. The exhibition will present approximately 45 paintings that the most significant of Cranach, from public and private collections.

Hours: Mondays, from 13 to 19 hours, Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 21
