Description

The catacombs of St Domitilla are located in Via Ardeatina, close to the Mausoleum of the Fosse Ardeatine. Since ancient times this catacomb has been known as the burial place of martyrs Nereus and Achilleus. The catacombs of St Domitilla are spread mainly over two floors, although some parts extend to the third and fourth floor. Inside there is a large area that dates back to pre-Constantinian time.
