Description

The Church of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem was consecrated in 325. It was dedicated to the ‘True Cross’ and was built to host the Passion Relics brought to Rome by St Helena. Under The Church of Holy Cross in Jerusalem, there is some earth from site of the crucifixion of Jesus, that Helena brought from Jerusalem along with relics of the Passion. The relics of the Holy Cross are kept upstairs on the right as well as a copy of the Holy Shroud.
