Description
The Church of St Praxedes was builtin the 9th century and has some glorious Byzantine mosaics. Here you’ll find: a piece of Christ's cross which was brought from Constantinople in the Middle Ages, relics from the catacombs, and a monument made by a 17-year-old Bernini. St Praxedes was probably the sister of St Pudenziana to whom the Church of St Pudentiana was dedicated and is located close by.
