Description

The Church of St Pudentiana is one of the “Tituli”, the first parish churches in Rome. The first church or chapel may have been built as early as in the pontificate of Pius I (140–155). It was known as the Titulus Pudentiana, named after the daughter of the Roman Senator St Pudens. In St Pudentiana, there is a beautiful Romanesque bell-tower from the early 13th century.
