Description
St Sabas Church is dedicated to St Sabas, one of the fathers of Eastern monasticism. The Church was built on the site of a house in which monks from the monastery of Mar Saba in Palestine settled in 645. It was granted first to the Benedictines of Montecassino, then to Cluniac monks and then to Cistercians. St Sabas Church is now served by the gesuits.
