Description
The Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella is a tomb built around 50 BC for Cecilia Metella, daughter of the consul Quintus Metellus. Cecilia Metella must have been a very important person to receive a grave so big that today has become the symbol of the Appian way. The Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella is located inside the Park of the Appia Antica.
