Description
The National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia is dedicated to the Etruscan civilization and was founded in 1889. The National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia was established to gather all the pre-Roman antiquities of Latium, southern Etruria and Umbria belonging to the Etruscan civilization and Faliscans. Among the most famous exhibits in the museum, there is the famous gold leaf Pyrgi, the Tomb of the Warrior of the volcano, the statue from the sanctuary of Apollo of Veio, the Sarcophagus of the Spouses of Cerveteri and a wooden chariot with bronze sheet found in the tomb of Castro. To reach the museum you can take the tram n 19 or the subway (Line A) and get off at "Flaminio".
