Hours of operation

Via dei Fori Imperiali was built in 1931 by destroying the archaeological imperial, medieval, and Renaissance ruins, and dividing this into two areas known as the Roman Forum. The road was built by Mussolini to connect the Roman Colosseum to Altar of the fatherland for military parades. Today the street is used for public transport, for the feast of the Republic and to admire the majestic ruins of ancient Rome.
